Trinity College Water Polo Pool

LOCATION:

East Perth, Western Australia

This facility was developed as a venue for the school’s water polo centre. The original pool required replacement as it had tilted due to the underlying deep unconsolidated sediments.

The pool was constructed on a piled, post-tensioned base and was formed as a Myrtha Pool. A suspended concourse reached the gymnasium entrance and ramp and combined the sports facility together.

The 50m x 23m pool is 2m deep in the area required for water polo and tapers to 1.35m deep at the lane starter blocks. Shade complexes on three sides of the pool complete the facility.
