We specialise in the Structural Engineering of complex architectural structures, recreational and aquatic centres, educational facilities and campus, heavy industrial facilities and multi-storey CBD structures. In Civil Engineering, we are highly experienced in land development services, dry and wetland (canal) subdivisions, and hydraulic engineering design of all types. Our Engineering services are informed by our in-house Scientific division specialising in durability analysis, design and the use of pioneering materials.

Our proven capacities extend to Civic, Civil, Commercial, Educational, Forensic, Industrial, Multi-Storey, Recreational, and Residential projects.

Award-winning designs

Our outstanding design skills are reflected by the number of State and National Excellence Awards we have achieved and successful projects completed that have contributed significantly to the West Australian built environment. These include iconic and multi-award winning projects such as QV1 Office Building, Crown Towers, Church House, Guildford Hotel and the State Theatre of Western Australia, which was awarded a prestigious Engineers Australia Engineering Excellence National award.

We also have a distinct field of expertise in the design of unique and iconic Aquatic Centres and recreational facilities – such as Armadale Aquatic Centre, Crown Towers Aquatic Areas, Bold Park Aquatic Centre, St Mary’s Indoor Recreation Aquatic Centre and Bayswater Waves – and educational facilities such as the Superlab pilot facility at Curtin University, South Metropolitan TAFE T Block building at Murdoch Campus, and Central TAFE in Northbridge.

Leading innovations

Many commissions received by Airey Taylor Consulting are earned due to our ability to offer alternative Value Engineering design models, which lead to increased construction efficiency and substantial savings in total project costs.

Airey Taylor Consulting have pioneered many innovations to the Australian market – such as Top Down Construction, Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer rods as reinforcement in concrete, the use of AFS Walling Systems, Claylock and Rammed Earth Walling Systems.

These systems offer advantages like rapidly accelerating construction time, reducing the carbon footprint and environmental pollution, significantly reduced concrete and steel volumes, extended structural lifespans, and prevention and remediation of damage due to movement of clay-based soils among other benefits.

We are acknowledged industry leaders in the creation of post-tensioned slab design, heritage structure conservation and remediation, structural design for cyclonic wind loading, and design for long lifespans and durability to withstand corrosion.

In addition to all of these elements – our forensic engineering and material science capacity forms a major component of our business. We are highly sought after as expert witnesses.
