The use of Glass Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bars for internally reinforcing concrete structures has been growing to overcome common problems of steel reinforcement, such as corrosion. Areas for application are dominated by bridge decks where de-icing salts are used, although other applications include coastal structures or structures aiming for an extended design life.

Airey Taylor Win at Master Builders Excellence in Construction Awards
This years Master Builders Excellence in Construction Awards saw Airey Taylor win multiple awards for recent engineering projects throughout the Perth Metropolitan area.
The awards were held on Saturday, 25 July at a gala function at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, attended by a record crowd of over 730 industry representatives and guests.
