This multi-award winning project, built in 1982, represented Perth’s first rammed earth house, with advanced use of post-tensioned, cement stabilised rammed earth construction.

This system was pioneered by Airey Taylor Consulting and Stephen Dobson of Ramtec Pty Ltd in Darwin in 1976. The technology has now achieved community acceptance and has been used for buildings ranging from churches to industrial facilities, in seismic and high wind cyclonic zone.
