Airey Taylor Consulting combine contemporary building techniques and historical methods, assisting in the protection of Australian Heritage into the future for present caretakers. A recent example of this design capacity can be seen at the Guildford Hotel redevelopment, a national award winner for heritage excellence.
With a commitment to conservation, we take pride in seeking lateral engineering solutions to challenging criteria – creating bespoke design solutions for each unique heritage project. Using a perspective sensitive to the characteristics of each building results in the retention of heritage structures, the remediation of damaged ones or the sustainability of the environment.
One of the suite of solutions we use to preserve heritage properties is the Retroclay system. This system has been employed successfully in the reconstruction and remediation of many heritage structures within Western Australia. Now employed by Advanced Substructures in projects nation-wide, Airey Taylor Consulting remain local experts in the use of this technique in a heritage context.

London Court, Perth CBD
Colliers International (WA) Pty Ltd engaged Airey Taylor Consulting to attend on site to perform a detailed inspection of the structure of the existing Heritage listed “London Court”. A status report was prepared and professional advice on remediation procedures provided.
Fairholme, Guildford
Airey Taylor Consulting were appointed by the Disability Services Commission to remediate the clay damaged heritage listed building known as Fairholme located at 39 Market Street, Guildford. A report of damage present was prepared together with a drawing with specification and tenders were sought. The RetroClay system, which is unique to Airey Taylor Consulting, was utilised to stop further occurrence of damage.
