{"id":5825,"date":"2025-12-18T04:24:53","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T04:24:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atconsulting.com.au\/_staging\/project\/perth-early-years-college-mt-lawley\/"},"modified":"2025-12-18T04:24:53","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T04:24:53","slug":"perth-early-years-college-mt-lawley","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/atconsulting.com.au\/_staging\/project\/perth-early-years-college-mt-lawley\/","title":{"rendered":"Perth Early Years College, Mt Lawley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LOCATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mount Lawley, Perth, Western Australia<\/p>\n<p><strong>COLLABORATORS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Architects: Donaldson &amp; Warn<\/p>\n<p><strong>YEAR OF COMPLETION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2014<\/p>\n<p>For this project, Airey Taylor Consulting paired with frequent collaborators Donaldson and Warn (now with_architecture) to create a unique and stylish educational campus that champions the sites history and existing buildings.<\/p>\n<p>This project featured renovation and adaptation of two Heritage houses and the addition of a new multi-functioning building within a landscape of terraced courts on a sloping site with buildings linked by ramps and stairs. The diversity of features were focused upon by Architects Donaldson and Warn to develop a &#8220;learning geography&#8221; of considerable stylistic, spatial and material variety.<\/p>\n<p>Large windows and openings admit plentiful natural light and cross ventilation into the new building. Solar panels\u00a0 for renewable energy were used and with a focus on insulation for thermal performance and general levels of comfort.
